About Us
Membership:
The OBBA welcomes two groups of individuals who serve with equal membership status: (1) those who work actively (full-time or part-time) in the investment banking, business brokerage or intermediary profession; and (2) those who provide services to the business brokerage profession such as accountants, attorneys, lenders, title companies, etc. If you are interested in membership, please contact the President of the local chapter closest to you. Membership in OBBA allows Business Brokers to have the opportunity to add their businesses that are for-sale to this website.
Code of Ethics:
The OBBA recognizes the Code of Ethics of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and has included these ethics in this website for your review.
Education:
The OBBA promotes professional growth through education. The OBBA supports the educational programs of the IBBA and encourages its members to attend the IBBA national conventions.
Networking:
Through our monthly meetings (also called Monthly Networking Luncheons), members have the opportunity to present and discuss, on a confidential basis, any new and existing businesses which they have for sale. These marketing sessions enable the Business Broker, on a confidential basis, to give their clients greater exposure.

The session will focus on what is possible with web technologies today, using and managing social media (rather than having IT manage YOU), and even how to handle the "dark side" of the internet (negative publicity).
